Belden reported today that its revenue for the third quarter was $411.5 million, an increase of 16% versus the same period a year ago.

Geographically, the Americas region accounted for 55% of revenue, EMEA accounted for 25% of revenue, and Asia contributed 17%.  The remaining 3% of revenue came from the company’s wireless segment, which is reported separately.

The company, which provides cabling products and recently purchased broadcast vendor Telecast Fiber Systems, also said that its non-GAAP income increased 59% versus last year.

For the first nine months of the year, the company’s revenue was $1,238m, a 20% increase versus 2009.

John Stroup, President and CEO of Belden Inc., said: “Given our strong third quarter results and the usual seasonal growth we expect in the fourth quarter, we are increasing our earnings outlook for the remainder of the year.”

The Company expects fourth quarter non-GAAP revenues to be $420 million to $425 million and non-GAAP income from continuing operations per diluted share to be $0.43 to $0.46.  For the full year ending December 31, non-GAAP revenues are expected to be $1,643 million to $1,648 million and non-GAAP income from continuing operations per diluted share is expected to be $1.65 to $1.68.
